ABOUT PAULOMI DEBNATH
The artist behind the brand

PAULOMI'S INSPIRATION

Hi, I’m Paulomi and I am a textile jewellery designer and maker.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved colour. Perhaps it’s my Indian heritage. I have a great affection for anything bold, bright and interesting and this shines through in my creations.

I take great pride in making each piece by hand. Looking for something soft to the touch, I began to use old age crafts and processes like macrame and knot work to create statement jewellery from cotton rope.

I am proud to be named as one of the UK’s most inspirational and dynamic female entrepreneurs in 2022 by the f:Entrepreneur ‘#ialso100’ campaign managed by Small Business Britain.

I am also a Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday award winner and a panellist for Holly & Co, who offer small business advice and inspiration.

My brand has been awarded SmallBiz100 as one of the nation’s 100 most inspiring small firms by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign, as it marks its ten-year anniversary.

Finally, in 2023, I received my latest recognition and awarded the prestigious #EB100 inclusion and Handmade by Tinni has been named one of the top 100 SME businesses in the UK by Elite Business Media.

My vision was to create statement jewellery and personalised art for the home that brings joy. It is my great pleasure to create jewellery pieces that are as colourful, beautiful, striking and intricate as the women who wear them.

The knitted home decor collection aims to personalise your living space with custom cotton wall art, bringing colour and texture into your home.

PAULOMI'S VALUES

When I began creating my statement jewellery, I knew that I had to do so sustainably. Protecting our planet is no longer an option, it’s essential. As a small business, I ensure I’m eco-conscious in every decision I make. I chose cotton as my main design medium as it is sustainable & bio-degradable, soft to wear and anti-allergic.

My zero-waste collection ensures that every offcut is used so that I’m not wasting materials.

Handmade By Tinni is also committed to sourcing materials ethically and continuing to find ways to reduce my business’s carbon footprint. One way we do this is by supporting Ecologi, a wonderful organisation dedicated to reforestation. Together with Ecologi, Handmade By Tinni enables the planting of 5 trees per month.

For our sustainable efforts, we have been Handmade by Tinni has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 'The Purpose before Profit Award’ by The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards.

My brand is all about sustainability and joyful colour. I believe that doing business ethically is the only way to do business. I am dedicated to creating a legacy of change for a cleaner, greener planet.
