Not only will you have a diverse range of clothing to choose from, but you'll also be giving these items a new lease on life, reducing waste in the process.

VINTED -
Sell the clothes that have more to give. Shop for items you won’t find on the high street. Vinted is open to everyone who believes that good clothes should live long.
Brilliant if you have an expensive taste on a budget. If you do the research you can find some of the top brands at fraction of a price. Sometimes sellers have gems like BNWT (Brand New With Tag) items at 30% - 40% discounted on main stores and many times you can find 'hardly used' clothes or bags at 50% or less price.
Vinted is also great to make sure you are happy with your purchase before releasing the funds with the seller. So for any reason, you are not satisfied with your shopping, the will give you 2 days to share your feedback, making you money protected.
Additionally, you can sell you unwanted fashion items too. Why not give them a new lease of life, rather than throwing to bin which will eventually end up in landfill!
Tips: Please check for seller reviews and feedback before shopping. For branded items, like anywhere, please also be aware of scam sellers. Make your own research and ask loads or question and request additional images.

For example - Fundamentally every piece I create is made by hand, without using any machines or electricity (except lighting and heating!), and therefore with minimal impact on the environment.

You can upcycle old clothing items, customize them with embroidery, patches, or fabric paint, or even transform them into entirely new pieces. DIY fashion allows you to express your individuality and have a unique wardrobe that reflects your personality and style.
Tips: Keep strong glue (Like Gorilla), well stocked sewing box, quality ropes, beads, clothing stickers (could be stitched or heat-pressed). All of these could help you to mend your favourite clothing items easily.
4. CURATED WARDROBE:
A curated wardrobe emphasizes quality over quantity. By investing in timeless pieces that can be mixed and matched in various ways, you can create a versatile and stylish collection of clothes. This approach not only simplifies your day-to-day choices but also helps reduce the consumer-driven culture of fast fashion. This is my approach to curate my own wardrobe as I love chic fashion and I find good brands last me longer than fast fashion brands. Also their designs may be a nod to the current fashion trends but made with timeless wear in mind. So my hard earned money goes a long way with higher wear per item each time.
I do not recommend spending bucket loads for this and you can easily find quality brands at an outlet shopping malls like Bicester Village or Cheshire Oaks or score amazing finds (Pre-owned fashion shop) from Vinted or Vestiaire Collective as mentioned earlier.
5. SUSTAINABLE CHOICES:
Alongside your pre-loved, vintage, local, and DIY choices, it's essential to consider sustainable materials and production processes. Look for clothing made from Eco-friendly fabrics like organic cotton, hemp, or bamboo, as these materials have a lower environmental impact compared to conventional materials.
Let me explain this with my own brand as I am really proud with my sustainability credentials:
Ethically Made Jewellery
My ethically made jewellery and home decor is made with organic cotton.
I choose cotton, not only because natural fibres feel like the right choice for my designs, but also because it is sustainable and biodegradable.
Organic cotton is also soft to wear, anti-allergic, colourful and extremely flexible, which allows my imagination flow. I spent a considerable time sourcing the perfect organic variety and the right cotton with lots of colour choices (28 and counting).
Zero Waste Designs
I’m passionate about protecting our planet and creating ethically made jewellery & other products. One of the most impactful things we can do to reduce our impact is to reduce our waste. My zero-waste collection showcases unique items made from the leftover rope from other designs. By using every scrap of material it is possible to transform every offcut into a treasure.
6. SWAP-SHOP:
A "swap shop" is a place or event where people can exchange items they no longer need or want for other items they desire, without any monetary transactions involved. In a swap shop, individuals bring in their pre-loved items, such as clothing, accessories, books, household goods, or other belongings, and offer them for trade with others who have items they would like to exchange.

Also known as thrifting, refers to the act of shopping at thrift stores, second-hand shops, or other resale establishments to find pre-owned items at affordable prices. Thrift stores offer a wide variety of goods, including clothing, accessories, furniture, home decor, books, electronics, and more. Charity shops are a good example of this. I have found hidden gems and vintage fashion items at a fraction of a price. I absolutely LOVE charity shopping!
